ACCESS Chautauqua provides wheelchair ramps, 
bathroom adaptations, and other minor adaptations 
that will make it possible for people with physical limitations 
to remain in or return to their homes.

Who is eligible for ACCESS Chautauqua:

1. YOU MUST OWN THE HOME 
    Rental properties are not eligible for assistance through ACCESS
     Chautauqua.  Land Contracts that have not been filed with the County 
     Clerk are not eligible for assistance through ACCESS Chautauqua.

2. PROPERTY AND SCHOOL TAXES MUST BE CURRENT

3. YOU MUST HAVE HOMEOWNER'S INSURANCE

4. YOU MUST MEET INCOME GUIDELINES 
    Only families that are at or below 80% of the Area Median Income are
     eligible.   Income eligibility is determined by your gross income - this 
     means your total income BEFORE any deductions or taxes

Income guidelines for 2010 are as follows:
 

Maximum Gross Income for a FAMILY of ONE $31,000
Maximum Gross Income for a FAMILY of TWO $35,400
Maximum Gross Income for a FAMILY of THREE $39,850
Maximum Gross Income for a FAMILY of FOUR $44,250
Maximum Gross Income for a FAMILY of FIVE $47,800
Maximum Gross Income for a FAMILY of SIX $51,350
Maximum Gross Income for a FAMILY of SEVEN $54,900
Maximum Gross Income for a FAMILY of EIGHT $58,450

Please be aware that ACCESS Chautauqua can provide 
funds for minor/moderate adaptation work. 
ACCESS Chautauqua cannot provide 
enough funding to completely reconstruct a home 
for accessibility purposes.

Funding for ACCESS Chautauqua is provided by New York State
through the Housing Trust Fund Corporation.
 

In addition to ACCESS Chautauqua, 
CHRIC administers funds provided by the 
City of Jamestown Department of Development's 
Community Development Block Grant Program. 
These funds allow for the construction of wheelchair ramps within the 
City of Jamestown for eligible City residents.  If you live within the
City of Jamestown and would benefit from a wheelchair ramp, please
call CHRIC at 661-7650 for further information.
