Dynamic individual needed to fill critical position managing
housing
and community development program initiatives awarded
to
Chautauqua Home Rehabilitation and Improvement Corporation,
(CHRIC),
from a variety of state and federal sources, including
initiatives awarded
or funded through NeighborWorks® America. Individual
reports directly
to executive director to set up and execute contracts
with funding sources
after grant awards are made, but also needs to act independently
in managing projects.
Individual must be capable of multi-tasking to initiate
program setup
activities, and manage project accounts to draw down
program funds
on a continuing basis. Management position follows
grant sources
and contracts to ensure compliance with all funder regulations.
This five day a week position troubleshoots problems
that may arise
in the course of implementing contract and project elements.
Negotiates with property owners, senior rehab specialist
assigned to the project,
and the executive director to resolve issues and move
projects forward.
Strong computer experience required, including Excel.
Grant writing experience, bi-lingual, educational credential,
and knowledge of non-profit sector a plus.
Contracts and projects assigned under the new position at CHRIC are:
Neighborhood Stabilization Program houses
Dunkirk Lighthouse grants
Sherman New York State Main Street grant
Sherman Restore NY and RHED grants
CHRIC CHDO projects including Lead and asbestos
RARP, UI and other projects as they develop
Position maintains professional files for each funding
source and project
for program audits. Individual works in a leadership
position as part
of a team in their capacity as CHRIC program manager,
and interfaces
with external partners and regulators with an interest
in each project.
Program manager meets weekly with management and team
members,
and advises executive director of potential problems
with a program or project.
Position may support management team by serving as a grant
writer
for traditional CHRIC programming as well as new special
projects.
Grant writing tasks and other duties assigned by executive
director.
Starting annual salary ……………… $30,000 plus health insurance/benefit
package.
